Your Visit to MEPS
MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Stations) are facilities staffed with military and civilian professionals responsible for determining your eligibility to serve in the United States Armed Forces. They administer the ASVAB and a physical to assess your qualifications. Your recruiter will prescreen you before scheduling an appointment at your local MEPS.
ASVAB - Your Path to the Right Job
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a multiple-choice test that helps identify the best Air Force jobs (AFSC's) for you. It consists of ten short tests completed in about three hours, covering various subjects from general science to mechanical comprehension. Free practice tests are available to help you prepare.

Physical Examination - Ensuring Your Readiness
A vital part of the process, the physical examination is crucial to ensure your ability to handle the challenges of basic training and military service. It includes measurements, hearing and vision tests, urine and blood tests, as well as muscle and joint maneuvers. Any disqualifications discovered during the exam may affect your entry into the military.
Be Prepared - Make Your Mark
Before heading to the Military Entrance Processing Station, medical technicians will provide instructions on completing a questionnaire about your medical history. Discuss any relevant childhood diseases or medical issues with your recruiter beforehand to be ready for your MEPS visit.
